My scanner isn't fixed yet and I'm running out of shit to post! I think I'm going to have to pull out the old shitty digicam.

As you may or may not know, I am a nerdish type of fellow. Don't get me wrong, I'm cool and stuff, but I'm a bit of a nerd. There are varying degrees of nerdhood. There are nerds who are unappealing and are socially inept. I've been lurking around, trying to get shit ready for Christmas. Why does it take three weeks to get ready if it only lasts a few days?

My scanner is officially poop. The wire in the back is fried and therefore, a fire hazard. I need a new scanner wire.

Also, I got denied a video game yesterday. The girl said she couldn't justify me buying a fifty dollar game. ***

We took out our Christmas decorations last night. Notice I said Christmas and not Holiday. That's because, by birth, I am a Catholic. If I were Jewish, I'd slap a menorah in the window. If I were African, a quanza thing... (How the hell do you decorate for quanza?)

Anyway, I was going to go on a big thing about how stupid I think it is to PC every fucking little thing. But I'm not going to. Then I was going to rant about how it bothers me that decorated conifers and a fat man with a home invasion fetish, are causing such a commotion. They have nothing to do with the birth of a Hebrew boy! What's with all the bitching?

Then, I was going to poke fun at the idea that Christians don't celebrate Halloween due to the fact that it's "pagan", but celebrate Christmas even if the same evidence against Halloween is that Christmas is also pagan.

I was going to get into all that, but i'm too blitzed.

Missing one portfolio

I've been away ever so long. And now that I have my return, it is far far far from triumphant...

Every time I sketch, I need to fiddle with the big fat fucking wire behind my scanner. It's lose and sometimes disconnects in mid-scan, halting my work. I get frustrated and smack violently on the wire. Time passes. I forget the entire incident. All the while, in a frequency not easily detectable by man's ear, a faint buzz could be heard. I had no idea where it was coming from.
I got down on my desk and, much like a T-Rex stalking its prey I hunted around for the source of the audio intrusion. I found it. IT WAS THE FUCKING SCANNER WIRE! It was hissing at me in a hostile way. It was friggin HOT to the touch! I had to pull it out with my hand wrapped around my shirt! Around my FUCKING shirt! The plastic casing where the two metal prongs connect to the machine were beginning to melt! So naturally, I took it apart.

Tonight, after talking to theothreric, it reminded me that I have an obligation to fulfil, and post pic after pic on here until my creative beast is fully satisfied. With that said I tried to reconnect my scanner... no dice. The cable is fucked. I need to buy a new one. Fuck. So, until then I will be posting stuff from my portfolio. (Or, I'll just take pictures of new stuff with my digi cam.)

Sketch Dump

This is a sketch dump. I did it this morning to cheer me up. The downpour outside is quite a depressing site. So here's a rant.

I awoke this morning with the radio, as I always do, and this particular moment was the new Party Quebecois leader talking his big separation talk. It seems to me that the whole ordeal has hit a point that most events hit. It's gotten to the point where the ends are the means, and the question on why separation should occur is obscured. I'm curious, what will happen to the rest of the french speaking Canada without Quebec to count? Will my little northern Ontario francophone's no longer be able to hold themselves up? Seem to be the case. That's what the report was asking. It's apparent that most of the french speaking Canadians are in Quebec. There separation equals french death in the rest of Canada. Ironic, considering they want to leave in order to preserve it. Unity through separation. The notion of it to me is ludicrous. Preservation of culture. I'd say they already have it, don't they? I'd say so. But hey, isn't my wanting them to stay just me trying to preserve my culture? Maybe I'm the one being selfish.

My only defense to that is this. The last thing we need in this world is more borders and walls.

I like them both. I can never chose, which is a hurdle I'll need to figure out. If I had to pick and it took three seconds to decide, it would be the first. But I guess the same will happen when I figure out hot the fuck you get it up there. Dammit. Blogger has this great feature with FAQ's and an easy to follow Help guide, but this question just isn't in it.

Went to a birthday party yesterday. A bunch of french (France) people down to study. Some of them I got close with. Good people. Weird expressions. They laugh at the things I say. But then then felt bad, so they would hug me saying, "Iss ok! We are only jokings!" then laugh some more. Good night. For those who like the drink, two words. German Beer. For about a week now, I've been awoken suddenly in the middle of the night with the feeling that I have a hundred pound weight on my chest. Every night, for an entire week. Being a self proclaimed hypocondreact (spelling?), I immediately came to the conclusion that I had the worlds most terrible case of lung cancer and that I had one more month of my life to live. The nights were horrible. I would wake up suddenly, and try (in vane) to catch my breath. I would cough and wheez and generally make a horrid sound deep within me. This was worsened by the fact that I am not alone in my bed, my fiance, who works in the morning, is also awoken by my near death experience. Today, I grabbed my nuts and made my way to the walk in clinic where I sat, trembling at the thought of what awaited me, for one hour to see a doctor. Finally, my name is called.
"Eric Rochon?" a lady's voice called.
"Here" I said, getting up and following her to a little room. I waited in that room for an eternity rehearsing how I would deliver my problem to the doctor. When he finally arrived, I let everything spurt out. He asks me,
"Have you ever had or been diagnosed with asthma before?"
"Yes, a while ago." I answered.
"Were you given a puffer?"
"Yes, but I've since lost it. This was some time ago."
"Is there a lot of mold in your bathroom?"
"I beg your pardon?" This caught me off guard.
"When was the last time you took to getting the mold in your bathroom" I hadn't considered it. I told him that I don't remember targeting the mold in my bathroom spacifically."
"I'm prescribing you a puffer, and clean your bathroom." He hands me a piece of paper, and leaves. Twenty bucks and four puffs later, I already feel better and looking forward to sleep the sleep of kings, children and the ignorant.

Stupid blogger didn't let me post! I wasted all that time writing and poof! It's gone!
I had just finished writing a nice long post about my buddy Frank, who is in the armed forces, and from who I recently received a nice letter. It made me feel all nice and warm that I wrote about how he helped me see the forrest for the trees, and how I missed having him around. And how back when we were kids, we had this comic strip about a dog and bat who would get into these stupid pointless adventures. And of how they were a blatent rip off of Ren and Stimpy.
Anyhow... here's to frank! My brother from another mother!

I hope that someday we can kick it again and draw some more wicked comics.

Me and my critters

I feel like this sometimes. All the little critters in my head bothering me to get used. I don’t mind them at all, I just feel bad for them. All those cool little stories they constantly act in my brain. They keep me occupied with their childish meanderings. I just can’t seem to get them out on paper in any productive way. Maybe some day…

Also, they bite my cerebellum when I neglect them. It wouldn’t bother me so much if it weren’t for the fact that it’s responsible for the coordination of movement and balance. You know...
